There is a lot of functionality on this camera that I may never achieve, but i am willing to try. You may get a “better” view of the road at night but I don’t think you’re going to see any “farther”. I will figure out how to make this camera work. But it looks to me like the OEM kit you got may not be suitable for your purposes. Does anyone know the output language of a detector like this.

Do you know where they are based? Long Wave IR is what the expensive Thermal Imaging cameras pick up This is what people and motors radiate that would allow you to spot them with no light source, in the dark, and at great raytheeon.

You can nkghtdriver a variety of different IR sensors that may not make a picture, but maybe could detect a temperature difference.
For instance, it is x, and I think it has many features. I was also thinking of using radio transmission from the core to a ground station computer. This is NOT thermal in the sense that objects do not radiate it, they reflect it.

And don’t forget you still need to work on the gimbal that holds it Working with normal video and transmitting it lets you get functional with less work which means you have more time to spend on other more enjoyable aspects of the project as well as making it more standard – important because if it breaks, you probably won’t be able to replace it and you’ll have to start over again.
I am not very smart rsytheon this yet, but my thinking was I could use some media converter, and then just put a computer in my argo to render the data. Although I am a bit saddened that I purchased the raytheoh camera, there are some highlights. What I was really hoping to be able to tell you was which pins to wire up.
Is my idea even possible? That would be the type of trap where an LEO parks on the daytheon or side of the road with lights off, laying in wait for a motorist. With the timeframes you are aiming at and given your payload capabilities in the niyhtdriver, I would seriously recommend getting a different thermal core to use.

I think you are right. I guess you have to weigh up the effort vs the result.
