I have the same question You can install it in Windows 8 using the compatibility mode. WebGeorge Replied on February 1, I did add a powered 4 port hub to plug the scanner into since it draws its power from the USB connectionbut this was just because I wanted to ensure that it got plenty of power, but probably not necessary.
