Just go and download this 5 year old driver from 3COM site here: I’ve seen several peripherals that were erroneously reported as ‘compatible’ as well as ‘incompatible’ devices that work just fine.
3C905 driver for 64 bit win 7 or Vista
Just used this same solution on the Windows 7 Beta. Alysson May 19, Someone told that 3C drivers are there on the Vista installation-DVD, and they should get automatically installed. Now make Vista to look 3C vvista from that folder, and Vista finds a driver and installs it.
